What kind of feedline can this be called ?

HI...
Is there any technical name given to a feedline that has been etched with a certain structure ?

I have a dual patch antenna (shown in fig patch.jpg)
Microstrip Line feed
Structure (shown in Fig struct.jpg) is the magnified view

The feedline as can be seen from the patch.jpg figure, has been etched with a structure (shown in struct.jpg). This has been etched 8 times on the feedline, 4 each at the 2 extremes.

Can the structure shown in Fig. struct.jpg be called EBG structure ? If so, the feedline can be called feedline with EBG structure.
What is the criterion to say that a structure is EBG structure ? How do we match the frequency bandwidth of this structure to the antenna ?

Otherwise, what are other better technical ways/words to define such a feedline that has something etched on it ?

Pls help.

Do you mean BALUN?

Perhaps you can call it "EBG structure based on perforated microstrip line" or "periodically loaded microstrip line". Make sure that the structure has the stopband property by simulating a portion of the microstrip line itself without the antennas. The distance of the structure to the antenna feedpoint may have an influence on matching.
