Error when simulating MIC antenna in Fidelity
I am doin MIC antenna project using fidelity. The thing is am getting an error message while simulating after defining far field to know radiation pattern. The error is like this
"cell (0,8,9) is outside of the pattern box (3 grids)"
Please help regarding this error. how to remove over come this error and how to see radiation pattern using fidelity....

Hi, kishorekumar_ms:
It tells you that your domain is not large enough to enclose the structure. In order to do pattern calculation, a pattern box is defined internally for the near field to far field transformation. If not all of your dielectrics or metal is enclosed by the box, the results will be invalid. FIDELITY detects it automatically. For the latest FIDELITY, there is an automatic domain detection option. If you choose the option, it will automatically enlarge the simulation domain so that all of your objects (except infinite grounds and/or infinite substrates) will be enclosed by the pattern box. Best regards.
hi jain sir,
please explain me hw to enlarge my domain so that the structure is enclosed nicely to over come that error.. i hv to increase the grid domain or i hv to do some other thing sir....

Hi, kishorekumar_ms:
1. You can select Pre-Processing->Enlarge Domain to add more space in one or more direction of the 6-directiuons.
2. On FIDELITY 5.X, you can select PARAMETERS->LAYOUT AND BOUNDARIES and define the boundaries to be UNFIXED. Then, FIDELITY will try to adjust them automatically based upon your requirements.
Regards.
hi sir,
yeah i did same thin 4 example structure n now i will try to my project structure. sir can u say the material properties for resonator.. i.e. like epsilon, conductivity, tan delta etc etc...

Hii, kishorekumar:
I am not sure about your question. You are supposed to enter the epsr and mur etc.
Best regards,
hi sir,
ok sir now i am able to understand all things...
