Hi there,
I am simulating a transition from rectangular waveguide to microstrip, but I have got some problems on how to electrically match the two structures.
I know that the parameters to play with are: probe length, probe width, and backshort distance from the probe.(I am working on an E-probe inserted into the broad wall of the rectangular waveguide.
I should see some changes when I do parametrics on these variables, and I can plot the Smith chart relatively to S11, S22, S21....
But in every single paper I read there is a discussion on how to modify the impedance seen from the probe port. But I don't know how to visualize the changes of the input impedance varing the above mentioned parameters.
Is there anyone who can help me please?
Regards
