Free Space wave propagation in HFSS

Hi everyone!
I have to find out how a wave propagates from one point to another, and match it to a wave propagation model (ie. may be free space, or 2-ray model etc). Is HFSS able to perform such simulations?
I suppose i have to draw two hertizian dipoles in an airbox, and excite them from the circular base using waveports. Place them apart, say 10 lambda or 20 lambda to simulate far-field propagation, and i can simulate path loss or received power. Is this a reasonable way to do it? Pls correct me if i am wrong. If you guys have a better suggestion... i am open to it. Pls help!
Thank you all!
