Hi all!
I'm quite new to the antenna field... so I have a question:
I'm trying to simulate an antenna wire dipole (PEC) in CST.
The source is a plane wave, linearly polarized as the orientation of the antenna. (z axe)
My question is:
Is there a known formula, which I can compare my simulation results to it?
I mean, Do you know of such analytic formula for the plane wave case?
Thank you!

I am not sure about analyic solution, but you can compare with another numerical simulation tool as well. If you specify length/frequency/radii/loads I can show Method of Moments results. Better if you upload also your CST project.
Hi e_m_c,
Thank you for the idea! I will look for another tool and compare.
I've attached my project. Please tell me what you think.
But my question is really if there is any analytic solution for a plane wave excitation?...
Thanks,
Moshe
