Dear all,
I'm developing a microstrip transmission line in the form of ROTMAN lens...It has one input port and 12 output ports. My biggest concern is that we are not getting the desired results (S-Parameters mag (dB) n phase) after simulating our model in CST Microwave studio. The model has been previously worked in other software. The CST software is taking significant time for simulating basic models (basic designs or general designs with simple shapes) but I'm wandering why it is taking very little time for simulating such a big design (model) which we are dealing with (Rotman Lens' one). So finally, I smell a rat....Can anybody help me with any clue or hint....freq of operation is 1.71-2.17 GHz...and no. of lines set per wavelength are 20 and with 10 as a lower mesh limit....
The material used for ground plane and track is "copper" (lossy metal)
Substrate being Arlon AR 1000...with a los tangent of 0.0003 (roughly)
Thanks,
Rgds,
