I would like to assign 1000 ohms to a feed line in HFSS? How do I do that? Also, how long and wide should the rectangle be?
I am building a quarter wave transformer for a dipole antenna to impedance match it. I am using a lumped port to excite it, but my advisor wants me to build a matching network with a quarter wave transformer with characteristic impedance of 100 ohms, and a voltage source with 1000 ohms of input impedance.
I am relatively new to HFSS.............I would sincerely appreciate your help.
Thank you.

Sorry, I do not completely understand your problem / the task you're trying to accomplish.
You can assign an arbitrary impedance on the lumped port. But if you want to receive both odd and even modes, you will need two lumped ports or rather a waveport and make sure you use the terminal solution type.
Thanks a lot....I have recently elaborated on my problem on this post

Please let me know your thoughts ASAP as I am running out of time for my project.
Thanks.
