FDTD CODE for lens focusing

Hi, I am just wondering how I can observe the optical property in the focal region using the FDTD method because I don't know what's the focusing plane in the calculating area.

If a point source is a stimulus, what's the code for this case? I saw a plane wave is always used for the simulation.
