hfss sweep along path

I am new to Ansoft HFSS and I have the need to design and simulate a helical spherical wire antenna.

Basically, I have used the equation based curve function in HFSS v11. I now have an equation based curve which correctly models my antenna. Now I am stuck on trying to extract this equation based curve into a wire so that I can assign a material to it. Basically, I have tried to use the Sweeping along a Path with a circle and various other objects with no luck.

Does anyone have any clue how to do this? I can provide the equations/file if need be.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It will be good if you can share file with us. so that we can show you how to do it.
Since you have drawn a curve & circle already,
just tell us how you are trying to sweep?
Select circle & curve.
right click--> sweep-->along path (Natural)
is this how you did ?

Yeah, this is how I tried it. I have posted the file although it doesn't have a circle in it, because I am not sure if that is the correct method to perform.

When I tried to use circle and sweep along path, it gives me error and deletes both objects.

I really have no clue how to do this. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You have drawn a sphere not circle!!
Check file I have attached.
The spiral is created.
you just need to delete sphere & make circle at one corner (XZ plane)
& sweep

Thanks for your help.

No the sphere is the dielectric for the antenna. I had deleted the circle in the first file I sent you.

If possible could you upload a file showing my how to complete this action? I need a the wire to be 0.5mm in diameter for instance.

I see exactly how you did it now. I wasn't lining up the beginning of the circle with the endpoint of the antenna.
