Hello ALL
I am using IE3D EM simulator to design stacked spiral inductors.I want to use metal thickness of 2 micron and 0.58 micron for different metallic layers. when I tried to grow the thickness of strips using Edit>layer>grow metal thickness option or ARTT option (as in appendix S of the user's manual)both layers are getting grown by same thickness. Can I know how to grow strips with different thickness.
with regards

Hi, KC:
You should assign the layer 1 with a metallic type of 2 um and the layer 2 with a metallic type of 0.58 um. Then, you grow thickness and it will be ok. Regards.
Any suggestions on what type of metal to use? Is "Normal" model the best one to use for inductors modeling, or would Single Sided Metal model be more accurate?
Thanks
