HFSS Direction Finding Antenna Array
Thank you.
If all you want is the voltage induced by a plane wave excitation, then just use the plane wave excitation and change all the lumped ports of the dipoles to RLC boundary conditions with a 50Ohm (or whatever load) impedance. Then you can draw a line across the RLC boundaries (from one conductor to another) and use the field calculator to integrate E along the line to determine the voltage with a given plane wave amplitude and phase (create a calculator function). If I were you , I would also converge on these quantities by creating simple calculator functions that you can then call for convergence in the "expression cache" of the solution setup. There is a field calculator cookbook in the help file of HFSS if you do a search if you are new to the calculator.
I would also encourage you to contact your Application Engineer if you have any other questions as they are very helpful!
take it easy :)
