How to know the waveform of input source ( For CST program)

I am a beginner who uses this CST program. I don't know how to control input signal because I don't know what it look like. Example discrete port signal, we can define what types of source such as current source and voltage source. If I choose current source, I don' know how is it look like ( DC /AC /pulse ) and how does it relates to frequency that we defined. What is the material that current flow. why I ask this question beacuse I am simulating current that flow through air when Elecric Breakdown happen. if I use the current from deiscrete port place beween two point (from one material to another material), it means the current flow one material to another material through the air or material ( such as superconductor)

You are able to work out what signal you are sending by running your simulation and looking at the port signals within 1D Results.
