HFSS assign excitation questions

Hi everyone,
I am designing a fractal antenna, i would like to study the absorption ability of this material.
I would like to simulate when diffierent wave (1GHz, 2GHz, 3GHz..etc) passing through of it by HFSS. I would like to measure the transmission loss (S21) inside this material.
I have drawn this material.
1. Do i need to set two dipole antenna and assign a terminal port 1, 2 in each and to calculate the S21?
2. I found there has a function of the HFSS that assing the plane wave or far field. Is it suitable for me?
3. or any other suggestion to use HFSS.
