Hi all,
Is there anyone here can help me out - how can I incorporate a Gaussian beam source in finite-difference frequency-domain (FDFD) simulation? I am using a built-in code developed by Dr. Raymond Rumpf, which is available here in this link (http://emlab.utep.edu/fdfd.zip).
thanks.

Gaussian beam is very similar as adding plainewaves in FDTD, the only extra thing is Gaussian need a aperature to model a beam shape. There are papers talking about this. Go to Wikipedia for a general description.
well, my problem is solved! :)
