Hello

Is there a simple way to create square spiral Inductor in HFSS?
To approach attract me:
1. Transform polyline in some 3D shape. How?
2. Draw spiral inductor in Maxwell 2D, import it in HFSS and then extend it in Z-axe.

I tried 2nd approach. Importing works well, but what can I do with this importing form? I searched in HFSS help but found nothing. If this feature (importing Maxwell 2D models to HFSS) exists, it should be a way to use these forms in HFSS simulations, otherwise it's obsolete. Isn't it?

Thanks in advance.

Pavel.

square spiral ?
In my opnion, you can design any kind of shape with hfss
espercially with scripts

I'm new in HFSS, so I'm not aware how to use scripts. Where can I find related information?
Without using scripts which hfss draw tool can I use to create square spiral?

Regards.

What is the purpose of Maxwell 2D?

you can consult to the HFSS 10 full book as a start of learning HFSS

I was look for some exes about planar spiral antenna simulation in hfss, too. I think this pdf will be very useful. Thanks so much.

1. Transform polyline in some 3D shape. How?
Solution:
Use the 3D Modeler>Surface>Connect

Thanks Tohoma,

I'm no more on this project.

Anyway thanks.
