Eight antenna array using hfss

I want to simulate an 8 antenna array on hfss and it takes alot of time
How can i calculate only 2 antenna or activate 2 antenna in the simulation
And how can i combine the radiation patern for the array in hfss i only know it in CST

Hi
I also used CST before switching to HFSS but they are very same.
I am not an expert of antennas but can you tell me the way you use in CST and I can help you to find the same with HFSS

In HFSS, you can't. Everything in the computational domain will be included in the simulation -- I would expect this to be the same for all numerical solvers (but could be wrong, as I haven't used any others). You have to create a new simulation which only has two antennas. Assuming each antenna is fed by an independent port, You can then specify the excitation parameters under HFSS->Fields->Edit Sources.

,,,?

i deleted all port and then i simulated every simulation 2 port of the array and it works but after that when i simulate all the arrays i cant found the same result its make me crasy

Yes, there will be coupling between the antenna elements. You need to compensate for this in your design -- it's a well-studied problem in array design with many proposed solutions.

An eight element array is probably easily modeled in HFSS. Models that result in gain on the order of 25 dBi or less usually fit. If not all you need is more ram and HPC's to make it run faster.

Without knowing the bounds of your model it is not possible to give you more specific advice. A while ago I simulated a 1x12 linear array and corporate feed in HFSS. The particular simulation took many hours on a reasonably heavy workstation but I had a considerable amount of detail in the model.

I created a straight FEM model and did not use the array simulation features in the software.
