Placing Ports to a Wrapped Coil in HFSS

I am having a modeling problem in HFSS and would like to know if anyone with more CAD or modeling experience has any input.

In the past, I have been able to successfully been able to simulate flat, printed coils on flexible substrates. These look similar to these PCB spiral coils, but printed on a flexible plastic.

Now I want to simulate the cross coupling between flex coils when wrapped around a cylinder. I'm pleased to say I've been able to successfully build this structure by building the coil out of 2D rectangles, assigning a finite conductivity BC, and using the built in "wrap sheet" in HFSS.

Embarrassingly, I now realize I have absolutely no idea how to connect a perpendicular lumped port successfully to 2D wrapped structure... My attempts so far have resulted in errors or no connection at all. Obviously the leads to the port must be perpendicular to the coil's plane. Can anyone think of a straightforward way to draw leads and lumped port so I can measure the S parameters of the coils?
