cavity model
I want to have the complete quasi static analysis of the major microwave integrated circuits based transmission lies ( eg. microstrip in different forms, slot lines, fin lines in different form and coplanar lines) Anybody who has worked and have fair idea please help me. I understand this quasi-static analysis is possible considering these lines as capacitors based on rectangular waveguides. methods.
I need to a complete analytical solution of these lines, if it is in any source code, that will also help me a lot.
I hope some great minds will come up with some positive answer,
Thanks a lot in advance.
I won't forget to press the 'helped' button.

which has built-in Coplanar Line - EM Quasi-Static-models...

Do these papers have complete steps for the MIC lines quasi-static analysis ( I understand cavity model analysis does exactly that!)? Otherwise has anyone have the matlab source code for these lines? Your help will be immense to me.
Can any one please upload these papers as I find diffiiculty to get them?
Thanks a lot in advance,

Hello sumana,
Yes, the following article has the requested data
Quasi-TEM description of MMIC coplanar lines includingconductor-loss effects
Heinrich, W.
Microwave Theory and Techniques, IEEE Transactions on
Volume 41, Issue 1, Jan 1993 Page(s):45 - 52
Summary:A quasi-TEM model of MMIC coplanar structures is presented. The elements of the distributed equivalent circuit are calculated by closed-form approximations and hence can easily be implemented into CAD packages. The effects of nonideal conductors are included as well as substrate loss and finite metallization thickness. The description holds for the entire quasi-TEM range, i.e. for typical MMIC geometries from DC to millimeter-wave frequencies. The validity of the model was checked by comparison to full-wave results. The errors for the effective dielectric constant and the characteristic impedance range below 5% for the attenuation typical values of 5-10% are found (maximum: 20%)

Dear Manju,
Actually I do n't want the clossed form expressions and the expressions that include effects of various other tolerances to design a MIC transmission line geometry for partcular application. So, I will not simulate these lines presently using numerous CAD software.
I want to do step by step analysis and write all the mathematical equations in the process especially for cavity model analysis of slot lines, various configurations of coplanar waveguides, various configurations of fin lines etc. I personally thought only cavity model analysis goves the physical descriptions well than any other analysis though may be more accurate.
I understand Cavity model analysis, i.e Quasi - static analysis is better in understanding the field distribution, propagations modes, guided wavelength, effective diel constant and impedance in other words give a picture of dispersion model of these lines.
So, any book / source / source code written in any language available for the quasi static analysis of these lines. For the analysis all these lines have to be considered as rectangular cavities with mixed diel media, mixeed boundary conditions and capacitive iris or any other model.

Dear manju,
Thanks a lot for the reply. If possible can you please upload your suggested papers as I do not have access .
Thank you very much for your help.
