hfss lumped element
i am new to hfss design environment.i want to know how to define lumped capacitance (lumped rlc boundary condition). suppose i want to place it in the gap of a grounded cpw structure.
waiting for replies.

anyone plz do help me. i really need to know it to complete my project work.
hoping for replies.

Cn you use only HFSS or all the Ansoft Designer?
With Designer I think you can use the EM simulation result from HFSS with the linear simulator.
Bye
Hi,
Actually i'm new to this forum; so the reply may be late :(
To assign a Lumped RLC,
* create a sheet, where you assign this lumped element (you need to execute "detach faces" under 3d modeler, surfaces)
* right click on the sheet you created:
-Assign boundary > Lumped RLC
* in the dialog box, enter the r, l, c values you want.
* do not forget to define the line, which indicates the direction of the current flow.
good luck ;)
Hi, the attachment is a brief introduction to use RLC boundary in HFSS
I think it should help you to understand how HFSS deal with the lump sheet.
Thanks A LOT:D!This stuff is amazing! solved a big problem which was bugging me for a quite long time!
ansoft products can be linked to each other.
the best way for simulating lumped elements and em structures is using "Hfss" with "Ansoft Designer".
be successful
very good. I also want it now...
