Given the specified frequency and model dimensions,an extreamly large mesh will be required to produce an accurate solution?

how to solve this problem?
pls help me,thanks!

This is really model dependent, maybe you could try using symmetry or removing small features that don't need meshing.

Alternatively look at other methods (CST time domain, FEKO MLFMM).

Any more info about the problem would be more useful...

Yes, this is generally a problem, if your problem is extremely large, then you may better use UTD or hybrid UTD/MOM method, and sacrfice some accuracy. I think there is also a good program for that named microstripe, it can anlyze electrically large structures in a small time.

i do this. keep reducing mesh until u dont get any difference in results !!....may work sometimes

As others have suggested, you can use another numerical method or a hybrid approach. This may be an indication that the desired problem is not the best application for HFSS.

There are many other tools on the market that may give you the important parameters for this problem much more efficiently than HFSS. MicroStripes and CST Microwave Studio are also options for performing time-domain analysis. These use methods that don't require the creation and solution of a large matrix, so they are much more memory efficient than FEM or MOM tools.

I really need more info on the problem to comment in detail.

Hiiii,

HFSS is not the best solution for large structures, if you still want to use it, you can try reducing the time by employing symmetry.

Otherwise you can try some other solution. If still you are not sure then you will have to elaborate your problem
