ADS 2011 Port Definition for CPWG EM Simulation
I want to simulate EM a CPWG, representing with cond the ground and the inner line, instead of representing the slots.
I don't know how Port should be defined with new ADS 2011, as everything has changed from previous versions.
Thanks
Hi svia,
The new version is indeed much different. The ports can be edited by selecting the "EM" Menu at the top, -> "Simulation Setup" -> "Ports". In order to make the ports differential (if that's what you're going for), you need to select one port and drag it to be the negative side of the other port.
Hope this helps
Thanks PlanarMetamaterials.
I have seen this from the Manual, but I have one concern. In CPWG simulation, I though diferential ports where in the inner conductor, and one in each side of the ground plane. Is it possible to reference one positve port with two negative?
I haven't seen it before. I think you have to do it like in real life - use air bridges, or your other favourite bonding mechanism.
