HFSS Chebyshev BPF filter design
[error] Port refinement, process hf3d error: Too few conductors were found on port WavePort1. There should be one conductor for each terminal, with one additional reference conductor. Unintentional contact between conductors may cause this error.. (2:48 PM Aug 06, 2012)
[error] Simulation completed with execution error on server: Local Machine. (2:48 PM Aug 06, 2012)
I have attached my design. How do I eliminate the error?
Your problem has nothing to do with Chebyshev BPF filter design. A far more sensible title would have been "HFSS error - Too few conductors were found on port WavePort1." Then people could see from the title what your problem was. Also, it would help others in the future, as people Googling Chebyshev filters will not get this thread shown.
I don't have access to HFSS any more myself, but it is a fairly common error message - I had it many times myself and Google will show you others have had it too. I always found defining ports in HFSS to be a difficult and non-obvious process. I never really found a document which discussed it in depth, and discusses the errors one is likely to get.
