negative epsilon hfss
Is it possible to input negative epsilon and mu values in HFSS 9.2/10.1 and get the results that show negative refractive index ? or will it just take n=sqrt(abs(epsilon*mu))

Yes you will see negative refraction. This can be seen here

Hi savedadogs,
Yes !. I found that at the interface between media (n=1 and n=-1), the normal component of E and H fields changes directions and the tangential component remains same.
I was wondering whether there is a way to plot the 'k' vector in both the media to show that EM wave bends away from the normal. Is it possible to plot the k vector in HFSS ? Can you throw any light on this ?
Thanks

I do not think you can plot the k vector...you can however use the field calculator to plot the phase of the electric field....you will see phase advance in the LH region and phase delay in the RH region.
