Two questions to be settled, thank you!
2 When i solve a problem using CST MWS 5.0 (adopt transient solver), it warns that "18 critical cells have been expanded to full size", so what is the possible reason? and how to settle it?
Best regards!
Come on! Any help will be qppretiated!
1) Second option: Simulate and plot S11 and determine manually the impedance bandwidth.
***In hfss 9.2, can we derive the 10 dB impedance bandwidth of an antenna directly as it is a intrinsic parameter or should we first determine the frequency points where the S11 value is -10dB manually, then compute out the 10 dB impedance bandwidth ? ***
2) It's because the arrow of the defined port is A TINY BIT too long. Just make it shorter by around 0.01 (in the case where you used infinitely-thin metal.

Thanks
Thank you! but how to make it shorter and "0.01" you mentioned represent what ? i used infinitely-thin metal for outer conductor of coax cable.
Best regards!
I get this warning sometimes.
It's better to make the port rectangle (or the line) a little shorter (0.01 mm or 0.001mm shorter) than to make it longer.
With a shorter line, because the program sees that the lumped port ends have to touch a metal, so it will take care of it without warning.
But if you draw it a little longer than the infinitely-thin metal, it doesn't know where to extend, so you'll get the warning.
IN my case i use waveguide port, not lumped port . In fact , i do not understand the line you mentioned . I first pick the face then assign it a waveguide port, i want to ask how to control its size. Another question is what a value should be set for the depth of outer conductor of coax cable in general.Thank you!
