Problems with 2.5D simulators

Hello :)
I was recentrly using 2.5D simulator myself, Momentum, and i was wondering what are its limitations?? I mean i know that it is quite efficient when it comes to planar structures, (eg microstrip antennas) but although it supports vias i think it has problems simulating connectors (eg coaxial connectors). Why is that?
I was trying to simulate a coaxial connector in a microstrip antenna using via, but when i was plotting surface currents the results were far from right.
Can anybody comment on the above? Any help will be greatly appreciated

Hello Cgeo
If you just want to design planar structure, IE3D will be a good choice . 2.5D simulator is limited by it's arithmetic, it is based on 2D MOM , and use 2D GREEN function .
