Please help me this question in HFSS (patch)

- I think i can not use the function draw a rectangle of HFSS to creat a "patch antenna", because i think that this rectangle has not a real thickness; but why it still run ?????

The rectangle has not thickness.But HFSS software has 2D mesh for planar structure.

Thanks. But so how can we choose the material (metal f.i.e) for this plan? or the HFSS will set defaut for it is metal ?

HFSS dose not set default matrial for any structure.
for planar structure you should define the boundary such as "perfect E" or
"perfect H" or etc.
