Help me fix a MWO project with Split Ring Resonators
Can someone tell me why i cant simulate my EMstructure..It always simulate in process and the n hang...Asking me to save it in a new name then g et dumped stright away.
It state that there is access violation and unspe cified error,sometimes the file corrupt.When i reo pen MWO, the instruction at certain reference memo ry cannnot be read.Click ok to terminate the progr am.
Anyone knows how to solve it?why the error like this appear?Anything wrong with the setting?

This project required Split Ring Resonator act as multiple stop band filters. Project include design and analysis of 2 types of Split Ring Resonator with different shapes, tunable circular and rectangular to compare its simulation results. Tunable circular and square split ring resonators (SRR) must develop a stop band that is enough to cover the bandwidth of either one of the ISM band (2.4 ISM, 5.2 GHz ISM or 5.8 GHz ISM).
The emp that have problem here is the initial draft of circular..I am just drawing refer to "Effective negative ε stopband microstrip lines based on complementary split ring resonators".
If u have any idea how should the design be done, ps advise.

I found couple of issues with the MWO project file...
1. the dielectic constant Er was wrongly set 102 instead of Er=10.2
2. The Top Enclosure boundry setting was set to Open, it needs to be PEC to account for box resonances or to replacate circuit analysis
Approximately Open option you need to set for Antenna structures...
3. the Grid size was too fine & was set to 0.05 hence it takes lot of memory & time for the simulation....I think for your case you can set the X=Y=0.1
and use the advance mesh & EMSight options to simulate quickly & reasonable accurate....
4. I have attached the modified MWO project file & corresponding results for your refernce...
5. Also if you have the access of Sonnet em simulator then you can simulate at Grid Size/Cell Size=0.05 & you can use the advanced Conformal Meshing option to quickly & accurately analyse...
6. I even attached the Sonnet results...

Yes, for Filter design using AWR MWO you should follow the similar settings...
