IE3D and design export options

Hi there,

Could someone please help me out with this? I have a microstrip antenna design that I have built in IE3D. I am having trouble trying to export the layout schematic into something usable. My .geo file is attached.

The software I am using to prototype the circuit for board manufacturer is Al.'ium Designer 6. I'm told that the preference for importing designs in Al'tium is Gerber file format. However I can't seem to figure out what D codes I am meant to define (d11 and d12).

Alternatively, I have tried exporting my design into the AutoCAD DXF file format, but that resulted in to outline of the geometry being all jumbled, and Al'tium won't let me edit the geometry to fix up the messed up lines. A picture of this happening is attached.

Any ideas on this one?

Hi:

1. The D code is some required data for exporting to GERBER which is machine dependent. Please read the .\zeland\ie3d\adix_manual on it.

2. For DXF export, some intermediate version may have problem in exporting the lines if you uncheck "Hatch/Fill Polygons" (or the opposite). Please play with this option to see whether you can get the correct one. I tried it on the latest ie3d 14.1. It is working properly no matter whether you check or uncheck "Hatc/Fill Polygons".

Regards,
