hfss spiral inductor

How to simulate spiral inductor by HFSS ?
I don't know how to set boundary condition and excitation.
So I am not sure the simulation result correct or not.
Anyone have experience to share with me.

At first you have to create the 3D model of your spiral, afterwords place exitation as lumped ports and radiation boundary cond. at air box. Use driven terminal solution to calculate S-parameters.

Some tricks should be used for the accurate results of spiral inductor in HFSS simulation. It is better to use Ansoft Designer/ IE3D/Momentum, etc, for 2.5D structure.

Their user's guide for version 10.0 (HFSS)has an example of a spiral inductor analysis. If you can run down a copy you will probably find it useful.

Is it possible to estimate the inductance of a spiral inductor by HFSS? Any formular?

The guide I cited provides the formula.
