?[question] about total-field / scattered-field

in case of open-ended waveguide structure, i.e. we using the tf-sf technique to simulate the forward waveguide mode source, but one end of waveguide structure is both in the scattered field zone and total field zone, how to deal the incident field in this tf-sf interface?
