feeding a 16 fix array antenna with ie3d

Hello people!! actually i have a problem: when i use a 50 ohm strip line (with a "50 ohms for waves" port ) to feed the structure i get a result, but if i use a "probe feed" port (which have Zc=50 ohm to, i think) in the same point , i get a diferent result (an important diference)... they have to be similar, haven′t?
if you have some advice...

Hi!

What you're clearly talking about?
I can't imagine exactly the same conditions for strip feed and probe feed, they're totaly different in behaviour!!

post your project here and we can see more

ok, may be i′m having a big conceptual mistake :? ... here i post two geo files, one with a strip line and one with a probe feed.. please take a look... thank you eirp!!

I suppose your probe feed is badly understanded and implemented.
Probe feed should look like I posted back. I mean, the piece of inner coaxial conductor touching the line.
Use Entity -> Probe feed to patch.
However, in this configuration I vote for feder with line ending at the end of substrate, with transition to coaxial. Your substrate have 5mm, the probe will introduce unwanted inductance (isn't it actually your problem)?!

Good Luck!
