Coaxial feeding problem

时间:03-22 整理:3721RD 点击:
Hi,
I have designed a square patch antenna (15,5mm x 15,5mm) and I want to feed it with a coaxial cable. My first thought was to use an SMA connector with the following dimensions: ext. diam. 4,1 mm / int. diam. 1,3mm
In my opinion, compared to the patche's dimensions this connector is too big.
Can anybody suggest a better solution?

Thanks

why don't you give it a try, in some cases the aperture field of the coaxial conector gives even better response for the antenna.

The SSMA and SMC connectors are smaller than SMA's. The SSMA works higher in frequency than the SMC. See the link below:

Try to solder thin semi rigid to ground. then one end to the patch input and the
other to suitable SMA connector.
