HFSS gives error at low freq. ...WHY?
Whenever I simulate structures at 1MHz in HFSS it gives CONVERGENCE ERROR. The reason is that "frequency is too low". How to overcome this problem?...help
thanx in advance
How large is your structure with respect to the wavelength I mean w.r.t 300 m which is the free space wavelength at 1 MHz ?

hi,
My structure is very small . the longest beam is 200um and area is 200x100
thanx
Hi,
Can you try one thing ? Try increasing the meshing density around the port. This might help solve your problem. Let me know if this works.

hi varun,
how to increase the meshing density near ports alone?
cv
I assume micro-meter. Wavelength is far larger(~300meters) than the longest beam. Even increasing mesh ports density as suggested "maybe" will solve somthing but you try to trick the software to remove converge error and not really solving the problem.
Try to solve it manually. !with a piece of paper!
I dunno about tricking the software, I have to think on that. But just one thing, can't you take the response at say 1 GHZ and scale it (up/down) accordingly to 1 MHZ ?
BTW, To increase the meshing density on the ports, right click the object you have used to define the port (Typically a PEC block or an unassigned material based rectangle). Choose Assign Mesh Operations -> On Selection ->Length Based-> Read on the available choices in the HFSS online help.
My two cents worth.

hi varun
thanks a lot. I'll try and let u know
