lumped rlc hfss
I had a problem to use the lumped RLC. I tried to connect a wave port (50ohm), 50 ohm coax, and a lumped RLC (50 ohm) port (a circle) directly, nothing else. When I read the result, I cann't get the 50 ohm load. It comes with Re and Im. Could you help me on it? I am new to HFSS. Thank you very much on it,

Dear all,
If I didn't present the problem clearly, please let me know. My question is why I can't get a non-reflection circuit in HFSS. I tried with a source, a RLC load (I set it to be 50 ohm), and a section of transmission line. No success at all. It seems the load is not recognized correctly. Please let me know the correct way to do it. Thanks a lot,

By the way, I also did the design in Ansoft Designer, the output (S11) is much better, and the imaginary part of the port impedance is nearly zero. While in the HFSS, this value changes a lot. any idea?
Thanks,

Please see the attached file for my design.

Hello,
You have an open circuit. The sheet named "resistor" has no boundary assigned to it. I suppose you ment it to be a Lumped RLC boundary.
Double check your model by clicking the HFSS menu and choosing "Boundary Display (Solver View)".

Hello Itai,
Thank you a lot for reply. I uploaded the wrong version of the design. In fact, the correct one had no open circuit, and I assigned the RLC boundary to it. Please see the new attachment for the file. Suppose I did the lumped element correctly, how can I get a 50 ohm microstrip transmission line?
Thanks,
