做“测试”还是做“版图”？

最近碰到个难题，我在foundry做了几年，最近有个机会去模拟设计公司做应用测试(application engineer)或者版图(layout engineer)，到底应该选择哪个呢?做版图据说发展比较窄，应用的测试以后的发展好一些，是这样吗?
请大家帮忙出出主意吧，不胜感激！

测试具体是什么工作内容?如果是做测试电路板的话我觉得还是比较有挑战性的

If your background is EE, I think you should select application engineer,
because you can learn much and do the new job well easier.
Otherwise, if your background is not EE, I suggest you select layout engineer,
because it is a very professional skill but it needs not much EE backgound.
