Role Summary
Design the most advanced integrated analog and mixed signal power management IC for computing power management market.
Primary Responsibility
o Development of state-of-art power management utilizing leading edge BiCMOS/DMOS technologies.
o Responsible for the entire product development process, being involved in product definition, circuit implementation, simulation, and debug, as well as playing an advisory role in IC layout and floor plan, and test development, characterization and reliability.
o Cost effective designs in a production environment completed in a timely manner is the ultimate goal on every project.
o Products cover a wide range of circuit types allowing a large breadth of technical knowledge to be gained.
Secondary responsibility
o Work with systems and applications engineers to define cost effective, creative solutions that meet time to market requirements.
o Design to IC specifications based on customer and market requirements.
o Responsible for the design schedule, cost and performance goals.
o Support test engineering and production release team for ramp to production.
o Provide a robust, reliable, high performance design and layout that meets specified performance criteria within the specified project schedule.
o Interaction with Product, Systems, Application and Test engineering during the evaluation phase.
Required basic Qualifications:
o MSEE with analog-mixed signal IC design in BiCMOS process for below 2 years experience.
o High current and low current designs, opamps, gm/voltage amps, comparators, gate drivers, oscillators, high speed level shifters, current limit, LDO, NVM, power LDMOS design, and basic digital logic design.
o Understand the BICMOS process, device physics, and power electronics. Skilled with SPICE, Cadence Analog Artist/Virtuoso/Silicon Ensemble design.
Team and people skills:
o The ideal candidate should be able to work effectively in a team environment, leading the development team as needed to accomplish the new product goals. Character and team building skills are essential to enabling on time delivery of IC’s.
o Sharing information and mentoring other designers less skilled or knowledgeable is a must.
