cadence ads
I get a question of the device model used in ADS. Usually in the RF class project using Cadence, we have TSMC 0.35um tech file, or 0.18um whatever, but some of the analysis conducted in ADS is superior to cadence, so I wonder that is there any possible way to include the TSMC0.35um.m file into ADS? or I have to build BSIM3 or BSIM4 model by myself in ADS followed by the .m file in cadence.
Sometimes that takes time because BSIM4 model has lots of parameters you have to type in, so can anyone tell me how to do?
Many thanks
You might want to look into ADS RFIC Dynamic Link, I think that will do what you want.

In main window of ADS push File=> Import => Netlist File (In more options choose approriate Input Netlist Dialect) => find source file (models file) = done
If you able to use RFDE in Cadence AE, it will be easier and faster to simulate your circuits because RFDE will automatically recognize spectre models files so you'll no need to transform the netlist.
Just change your simulator and simulate...that's it..
Thanks guys!
Really appreciate your help, I guess I won't be able to use the RFDE in our lab computer, I didn't find it. And I followed what Alex told, generated a token in ADS as "NetlistInclude" as I attached following, I wonder how to use that? Lilke we usually include the BSIM3/4 model first and then pick a MOS to the schematic, but how can i do with the "NetlistInclude"?
Thanks so much, I get too many wonder of using that.
Best
Sorry guys, forgot to mention that I imported the TSMC25.m into ADS. Can I do that with XXX.scs too?
Hi guys,
Can anyone help me on this? I really want to know how to deal with this problem. Thank you so much in advance.
You might want to try asking on the Agilent Knowledge Centre forum...

Of course, you need to create an account with them and confirm you have a license to use the tools.

I just found this on their forum, maybe it can help you:
