Looking for project ideas for a TV tuner

I used standard UHF tuner (IF out) for audio receiving. conneceted 33.4Mhz audio IF decoder to tuner out. (modified FM radio) The project was OK. But. manual tunning.

First, compose requirements for your project.

Is it for production, amateur or student project?
Do you need remote control?
Is it for scrembled signals receiving?
How many signal and sound standards you want to receive?
Do you need some display for channels, and how many channels you want to keep in control memory?

Also, you can take circuit diagram of any TV (before 1998) - look at RF and IF blocks - they are quite suitable for your design.

I have a UV916 Tuner http://www.ws-tuner.com/PRODUCT/UV916.htm whith PLL tuning(Ic2), but i dont know how to tune with Ic2 signal!

P.S. someone knows what type of tuner is UVD6301 made by Wittis? On the Wittiswebsite there aren't information about it!

This may not be what you are looking for but it may give you an idea how the I2C works. Should be pretty standard between tuners.

Generally is useless to activate a 5 years post, especially an analog TV subject, nowadays when most of the countries switched (or are going to switch soon) to digital channels.

Can tuners are almost dead.
Nowadays, single chip IC tuners are used with few cheap external components.

There are so many single chip tuners for analog/digital/cable applications.

because in our country are still many who use the UHF Tv analaog, I think this thread is still useful...

can you help convert tv tuner analog with IF out to AV out, IF DEMODULATOR
please give a sample block diagram and the schematic
