2.4ghz converter

I am looking for cheap solution to convert the 5.8GHz signal to 2.4GHz, any one knows any IC can do it and cost? there are a lot of cheap 5.8GHz cordless phone around and what kind of chips they are using? (I open a GE 5.8GHz cordless phone and it is a chip on board bonding IC, the manual of phone says it is using 5.8GHz/2.4GHz)
