I know that the noise figure on the receiver is extremely important however is noise figure important on the TX side?
I'm lookin at a TX amp that has a noise figure of about 6 dBm. Does this have any significant meaning when dealing with the transmiter?

Generally noise figure of a power amplifier has little impact for most in-band transmissions, but some systems using modulation as OFDM or 256QAM needs careful control of the PA noise figure.
The PA noise figure could affect the out-of-band transmitted noise power. For example for half or full duplex systems, the TX power transmitted in RX band.
On general the noise figure is important for the receiver
