hi all,
i got a very small question about the modulaiton index of FM.
suppose i generated a FM wave at 10MHz . the modulating index is 5. now i multipliex the frequency to 10 to get 100MHz fm wave. now what is the modulating index of the 100MHz FM wave. is it still 5 or 5 *10=50
i am just confused. please support your answer with theory....

FM_Modulation_Index = Frequency_Deviation[Hz] / Modulation_Frequency[Hz]
So if you multiply the carrier frequency, the frequency deviation it will multiply with the same amount, resulting different modulation index.
