5.8 antenna design

时间:04-08 整理:3721RD 点击:
Hi
As I don't familiar with the antenna design.
I would like to design an antenna for both 2.4G and 5.8G.
Any suggestion? or Any books or reference that i can read before simulation?
Many Thx.

Try Fractal antennas

are you thinking in a wide band antenna(more than 1 octave) or just an antenna covering two narrow and differents bandwith?

Helicoidal antennas are used for wideband but i don't really know if it could be a good idea having in mind the frequencies you are talking about

bye

Hi iamchrisk,

it is possible. A simple example will be a patch antenna (designed to operate at 2.4GHz and to obtain a 5.8 GHz operation cut an appropriate slot in the patch.

of course ,a LPA can do it easily, you can try

some of the books which might help you are "Antenna and EM Modeling with Matlab by Sergey N. Makarov" and "Antenna Theory: Analysis and Design, 3rd Edition by Constantine A. Balanis",..these will give you a very good perspective in RF component design and its implementation.

look up the pifa paper by WONG. it's even on the board somewhere.

Try using "Ontenna OPtimizer " or HFSS from ANSOFT ,,

if possible, pls check the ieee mwcl magazine. in the recent volumes, there is a proper paper about it.

I'm lookinf for a microstrip patch configuration gaining more than 40 dB in double polarizaion (RHCP and LHCP)...

any idea? In my opinion it's not achiveble.. I'm speaking about a "tested" gain.. not a "simulated" gain...

regards

Lupin

Hi,

Try this link

Clk

so many choice you can and the best choice is to use the wideband antenna!

what if we want a reconfigurable antenna instead of dual band
that is antenna should be resonant at both freqs one at a time.
maybe by using a switch?
does anyone have any design guide for reconfigurable antenna
ie its dimensions, specs?
I like to have it in microstrip technology.
Thanks

i suggest to use Triangular antenna , it will be helpfull for you , it's a broadband antenna and have a good response at high frequencies .
