Mems reconfigurable microstrip patch antennas
I want to know that what is the kind of dielectric used in microstrip patch antennas and is it possible to use of silicon oxide or silicon nitride as substrate in microstrip patch antennas?
thanks.
They can be build from any dielectricum with reasonable low losses. High permitivity is often wanted for compact antennas. Most uses PCB substrate (FR4 or "Rogers" like RF type) and different ceramics, particularly with high Er.
hi yes it possible but using silicon and did not named microstrip
I am not agree with your idea, dielectric constant for microstrip antennas should be small toward one so that antenna could be able to radiate.
hi if u have knowledge more than other why u ask question
u first go to IEEE and read more about antenna on silicon and read hand book of microstrip of Bahl to understand about microstrip and then came write here
I suggest you to be calm, edaboard is a place for ask question and discussion about them,do you know?
