How to Develop Application on POS

Hi,
I want to develop applications on POS.
POS is Visiontek 92 POS,has Linux operating system.
What are the requirements to deveop the application using C/C++ on Linux.
Please suggest me, I am a new employer..........

Do you mean Point of sale... What are you tryinh to make? you have a company and recruit people? then you should know about it....

if it is linux, then you have many open sources.....

But if you have money to spend, I would like to suggest that you try Point of Sale software from RetailExpress. I think that software might help you.
