Log Periodic Dipole Array Meandering Method
i'm a newbie in this forum , and I'm currently working on my final project, my final project goal is to design an optimized log-periodic antenna with any method in
460 MHz-760 MHz working frequencies,
I have read several paper that mention about inductive loaded stuff and my lecturer suggest about meandering
has anyone heard or know about meandering method in log periodic dipole array antenna or inductive load?
For your assistance I bid Thanks
These measures will surely show some effect, as with any antenna. It's more difficult to predict, if they lead to an useable LDPA design. Personally I have some doubts, because all miniaturizing methods involve either reduced bandwidth or energy losses. There's a relation in antenna theory about maximum bandwidth of a lossless antenna depending on wavelength and the radius of an enclosing sphere. Why don't you simply try in an EM simulation?
thanks for your reply, yeah I know in reducing the size of the antenna there's performance reduction also, well i'm a newbie in this field, so can you recommend what software to run the EM simulation?
thanks
There are several full featured EM simulation tools available. You should ask which is used and can be supported by your university.
ok sir, I'll figure out
ASAP
thanks :)
if you have HFSS11 it the best software for simulation and for comparison you can convert HFSS file to sm3and import to CST and check your antenna in CST
