Help Please (Solving Non-linear Schrodinger Equation)

Dear Friends:
My friend has a problem in sending his problem. I sent it on-behalf of him.
He is working on pulse propagation in optical fiber. He needs to simulate the Non-linear Schrodinger Equation by using FDTD (Finite Difference Time Domain) method. Can anybody help him. He needs to do this in MATLAB
Could any one help him?

I haven't tried it myself but Sullivan's book (chapter 6.2) deals with Schroedinger's Equation (very basic stuff) probably not enough but perhaps a start.
