Stability Systems for Laser Applications

In a parallel project I'm devoloping I'm having some issues with stability, and I wonder if someone can help me dealing with that.
I'm using a laser to determine position, but the accuracy is not good enough and I'm guessing the problem might be related with stability of the tripod.
