If there is a plane wave propagate(TEM mode) from left to right.
direction of E is up down, direction of H is perpendiculor to the screen.
And I have 2 paralell conductor planes.
---------------------------------
EM--> d
---------------------------------
Then what happen? Can the wave still propagate between the planes? Can the 2 planes induce voltage? i.e. u=E*d? If it can induce voltage, why we need antenna?
Thank you

Hi
The wave still propagates,this is what we see in the waveguide.we need an antenna as a transducer or as a bridge to make the resistance of the source equal to the free space radiation resistance,like a transformer

Still confused!
Any help is welcome!
What exactly is the confusion.what ever you are referring is what happens in a waveguide. lookup the waveguide structures and you will find answers that will convince you.
