Hello.
I am doing a project for SIM900D Module with GSM Chip Antenna (Antenova A10340).
http://www.antenova.com/Product%20Sp...-PS-Calvus.pdf
In the Datasheet, the A10340 antenna footprint have 5 Pads where 1 is RF Feed Pad. So for the design, the other 4 Pads needs to be connected with GND? Or this 4 Pads just for soldering?
Sorry for this basic ques.
Regards.

These pads are just for keeping the antenna in place. It should not be any ground near this part of antenna.
Please read the page 7 of the datasheet, in the picture of the footprint, it gives you the "ground plabe free" dimensions.
Good luck.
Thanks all for your advice.
Actually I saw one board design before, with this Chip Antenna and that board used GND Plane where the rest 4 Pads was Grounded. That Board works fine !
Moreover for any Antenna RF Design PCB, always GND Plane underneath the Antenna is recommended, but this Antenova A10340 is different ... that's why I was confused. Now its clear to me :)
Thanks again.
