Can I amplify RFID reader with op amp ?
Can I amplify RFID reader with op amp ? It's 13.56 Mhz RFID reader and I want to gain more reading distance, so it can reach about 2metres from the tag.
Any ideas or link will be very appreciated.
thanks
IF Amplifiers or Video amps offer more gain bandwidth than traditional Op Amps. Have you looked for these?
I haven't looked, could you give me example ? and can I directly put this amplifier into TX and RX pin of RFID reader module ?
thanks

is it right using this one :

unless you verify your design parameters for Transmit path.. antenna pattern, received signal at RFID and return path received at reader, I cannot help.
I wish I were a mind reader. :>)
I am not sure if an amplifier is the solution. If the signal/noise ratio from the antenna is too bad, receive path amplifiers will not help.
RFID on this frequency often uses a load modulation. You have to check if this works through an amplifier.
Probably the easiest thing is to test it.
